The 11-day urban art celebration in Montreal’s St-Laurent Boulevard swelled with talented and renowned mural artists. The public was treated with live works from artists like local Montreal creative Jason Botkin and Tel Aviv’s Klone Yourself. Beyond the fresh coat of spray paint, the vibrant festival also included an art fair connecting galleries, artists, and art enthusiasts across the globe, special events like dance battles from Cloud Cypher, and music parties galore.
Presented by Fido and Vice, Occupied participated with a VR booth installation. Attendees were invited to create virtual art via Google’s Tilt Brush on the HTC Vive. In addition to the nights feature, the Toronto graffiti artist Jarius joined us to create art in VR. His live work was projected onto a wall above the party.
